Warehousing Koper

Bonded and commercial storage in the Port of Koper hinterland, with your stock visible in real time.

Storage in the Port Hinterland

Our warehouse sits in the port hinterland of Koper (Capodistria), a few kilometres from the container terminal. That short distance means a container can be collected, stripped and put away the day it is released.

Over 10,000 m² of dry, temperature-controlled and bonded space, with 5,000+ pallet positions. Every pallet is booked into our WMS on arrival, located, and visible to you in real time — quantity, batch, expiry and movement history.

We have worked at the port for more than 30 years, with our own customs brokers on site. Clearance and storage are one process, not two suppliers — and under AEO status a standard consignment clears in 2–4 hours.

Warehousing Koper FAQ

Where is your warehouse in Koper?

In the Port of Koper hinterland, a few kilometres from the container terminal, with direct access to the Ljubljana–Trieste motorway corridor. A container can be collected, stripped and put away the day it is released, and the terminal's direct rail services inland matter when road capacity tightens.

How is warehousing charged?

By pallet position per month for the space, plus a handling fee per movement in and out. Picking, repacking and labelling are priced per unit. There is no minimum contract term for standard storage — you pay for what you use, and the report shows exactly what that was.

Why use a bonded warehouse in Koper?

Duty and import VAT are deferred until the goods are released, which is useful when you import ahead of demand. Bonded goods are under customs supervision, so access needs the customs procedure completed first — our brokers handle that, usually the same day.

Can you store temperature-sensitive goods?

Yes — climate-controlled space from +2°C to +25°C, suitable for pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, some foods and other temperature-sensitive goods. Monitoring is continuous, the alarm triggers before the range is breached, and for pharmaceuticals and food we can provide the temperature record for the whole storage period. For frozen cargo we work with specialist partners.

What goods can you store?

Standard goods in racking up to 12 m, heavy and out-of-gauge pieces on the floor, dangerous goods in separated storage by ADR class, and containers and machinery on the open yard. We work for customers in automotive, food, pharmaceuticals, electronics, textiles and machinery.

How quickly can we start warehousing?

For standard goods, within a few days: we need the stock details, the packaging format and your order file to set up the WMS. Bonded storage or an ERP integration takes one to two weeks, because the customs procedure and the interface both have to be tested before anything moves.
